Rules
1. Ice holes paid are non refundable but transferable.
2. The fishing derby starts at 12:00 p.m. ends at 4:00 p.m.
3. All fishing holes are pre-drilled and numbered randomly.
4. One ticket, one fish line, one hole.
5. No cheating, no complaining.
6. Heaviest TROUT will win. In the event of a tie; first registered fish will be the tie breaker.
7. If no TROUT is caught; any heaviest fish will qualify.
8. All fish must be weighed right away.
9. Participants must enter a fish whole, not gutted, gaffed or altered in any way.
10. Fish cannot be frozen or covered in snow.
11. No fishing tents, huts, or any type of shelter will be allowed at the designated fishing area.
12. Minor participants 12 and under must be monitored at all times. The derby committee will not be responsible if anything should happen to the child.
13. Minor participants must land their own catch.
14. Parents and/or guardians may assist a minor participant with a frozen hole or taking out the hook; they will not be allowed to fish from their ice hole or land their catch.
15. No participant shall at any time assist other participants with landing catch or extracting hooks. However, participants may share their equipment with other participants. It is not considered cheating.
16. No spectators shall at any time assist participants with landing catch or extracting hooks.
17. No tip ups or fishing rod holders.
18. Live bait is not allowed however dead or salted minnows are allowed.
19. Snowmobiles and trucks will not be permitted in the fishing area. However, exceptions will be made for the disabled and elderly.
20. If you are going to leave the designated fishing area; you must remove your line.
21. Only one prize per entry.
22. The top 2 prize winners are not eligible for the main prize in the participants category.
23. All fish have to be out of the water prior to the signalling of the end of the derby. Fish caught after the signal will not qualify.
24. Participants are asked to do their utmost to exhibit good sportsmanship.
25. Participants found violating any of the rules will be DISQUALIFIED.
26. Any participant found to be giving fish to another participant for prize will both be disqualified
27. Alcohol and drugs are prohibited before and during the event. Any participant found to be under the influence will be disqualified.
28. All participants are responsible for their own actions and safety during this event. The derby committee will not be reliable for any incidents that occur before, during and after the event.
